Catalytic Converter Simulation PhD Student 2019 – Present Oakland University Auburn Hills, MI
– Developing catalyst simulation optimization algorithms as part of PhD research. Can reduce catalyst model creation time by an order of magnitude. Improved accuracy from +/- 15 to +/- 1%.
Catalytic Converter Simulation Engineer Jun 2021 – Mar 2024 Stellantis Auburn Hills, MI
– Calibrated and ran catalyst simulations in Exothermia. Provided training to 4 other engineers on these processes.
– Created a Matlab algorithm to automate portions of the catalyst model calibration process. Submitted patent.
Diesel Calibration Engineer Nov 2016 – Jun 2021 Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Auburn Hills, MI
– Manage powertrain test dynamometer. Coordinate and execute test request from various calibration groups (OBD, Drivability & Emissions). Create Matlab scripts and other software configurations to analyze data.
– Contributed to calibration and validation of SCR hardware, in vehicle. Organized tests for chassis dyno testing. Created Calibration Guide relating to SCR.

– Achieved 6 Sigma certification with 3rd project: Creating a detailed process to Identify and Mitigate NH3 Slip due to Urea Deposits.
– Collaborated with prototype company in creating “Cummins Flow Reactor”, to mimic diesel engine exhaust for aftertreatment testing.

– Designed, analyzed and improved turbocharger components using ProE and Mechanica FEA. Created drawings for manufacture.
